John Grimm Dies Former Iowa Supreme Court Justice
John M. Grimm 77 a former justice of the Iowa Supreme Court and Cedar Rapids attorney died at his home Wednesday. He had long served Linn County as a prosecutor and was active with the University of Iowa Alumni Association and memorial union building committee. Grimm was named to the Supreme Court in 1929 by Gov John Hammill, elected to a six year term in 1930, and resigned in 1932 to return to private practice. He also led the Iowa Bar Association in 1929.
