The event, sponsored by district soil commissioners, highlighted conservation farming and a countywide average yield of 136 bushels. The Nonpareil noted all nine fields followed two years of legumes and pasture crops. The program closed with songs by Capt LeRoy Gould and plays by the Chanticleer group.
