Child Falls From Moving Auto In Omaha Suburb
Lyle Gravett a year old Cornel Bluffs boy was critically injured when he tumbled from a car traveling about 50 miles an hour on Highway 36 75 three miles north of Conn Leif Bluffs. He is in Children’s Hospital Omaha with head injuries and facial cuts and has been in a coma since the accident. The father said the blow to the brain was terrific. The boy slept in the back seat with brothers Roland five Richard three and Russell two. Gravett drove the car while Fern Gravett twenty five held infant Annette nine months. The child awoke, reached for the door handle turning it, the door flew open and Lyle fell out. Mrs Gravett screamed. Gravett stopped the car and rushed back. Lyle was taken to Mercy Hospital for first aid then to Children’s Hospital.
