Eighteen children treated and dismissed from St Elizabeths and four from Lincoln General after a miniature train at Capitol Beach Amusement Park overturned during a Sunday event. About 400 children were aboard as the ride stalled on an incline and riders urged to rock the cars causing tilt. The park drew an estimated 12,000 to 14,000 attendees for a grocers and butchers picnic.

Start Grading For New Supermarket
Grading began at Twenty eighth Street and Broadway on Monday for a new Hinky Dinky supermarket. C. M. Newman of Omaha, an executive, said the building would cost over 300000 and be as large as the one recently built at Seventy second and Dodge Streets. A. H. Brodkey of Omaha is the general contractor. Council Bluffs firms will handle the subcontracting. Completion is expected in late spring or early summer with about 100 local workers to be hired at opening. The firm also operates a remodeled store at 711 W. Broadway. Newman noted rapid growth in Council Bluffs and the desire to extend service to the West Side residents.

McDevitt Services In Omaha Tuesday
Funeral services are set for 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Margaret Mary's Church for Frank A. McDevitt a 60 year old Omaha businessman active in civic affairs. Burial follows at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. He died Sunday after a long illness. McDevitt led a life insurance firm and served a second term as a director of the Omaha Public Power District. He sponsored the McDevitt American Legion baseball team which won the 1939 national championship. He was past president of the Nebraska Association of Life Underwriters and a member of the Million Dollar Round Table of the National Association of Life Underwriters.
