Ten Cars Of Oriental Limited Wreck Injures Sixty Near North Dakota Town
The Great Northern Railway westbound Oriental Limited derailed ten cars near a northwestern North Dakota town Monday night. About 60 persons were injured. 35 taken to hospital, two in critical condition, 25 treated at the scene. Passengers and crew said the train was moving slowly, some recalling it “ambling along,” a crewman estimated about 45 mph. The Jet St. Paul to Seattle was the starting train for Monday.
