Police motorcycle officer J Claude E B Moore, 26, of 821 Avenue F, suffered multiple injuries in a collision with a four-automobile transport at Thirty-second Street and Broadway at 5 30 PM Monday. He sustained dislocated and fractured bones, severe lacerations, internal injuries, and possible skull fracture. Driver Edwin G Paradise, 26, of 3654 Third Avenue, was hauling four new autos and told police he saw Moore in his rearview before the left turn, noting gravel caused the bike to skid. Moore remained dazed at Mercy Hospital. Paradise was booked and released after questioning.

Anita Tribune Publisher Paul Brown Dies at 44
Special to The Nonpareil Anita Paul Brown 44 publisher of the Anita Tribune died early Tuesday in a Council Bluffs hospital after a stroke Monday in Anita. He was a World War I veteran, a graduate of the University of New Mexico, and published the Tribune for three years. Survived by his widow and two young sons. Burial in Panora cemetery.

In Sioux City Harry J. Gibbons acting chief of detectives filed a notice of appeal to the Iowa Supreme Court. Seepage Water Knocks Out Teletype Circuits
Seepage of water into four underground cables knocked out 406 teletype circuits of the American Telephone and Telegraph company early Tuesday. Fifteen of the circuits are used by news services. All of those were restored within four hours. Most of the circuits, however, serve brokerage houses and commercial firms in the financial district and midtown Manhattan. The telephone company said it would take a number of hours to get them all in operation.
