Bought Fine Horses by T Agnew in City Purchase
T Agnew of Westlake County and John Nash visited the city and bought an eight horse outfit with harness and wagon from Jack Mealy, north to south highway. The horses were a fine lot averaging over 1500 pounds each and reportedly brought 1200 dollars. Agnew and his brother work in timber on Craig Mountain and joined the Globe readership.

W. F. Abercrombie and his son and daughter arrived in Cottonwood on Wednesday from their Joseph street home. They departed Thursday morning for Walla Walla Washington, where the children will live with a sister and attend school during the winter.

Theodore F. Schaecher sold the Cottonwood Pharmacy to J. F. Brown of Spokane with assistant Ledbetter. Brown and Ledbetter plan to move to Cottonwood with their families. Doctor Heads to Elk City for Ill Son Return Expected
Dr. Orr received a message from John Hoene of Elk City that his son August was ill and needed urgent medical care. He departed for Elk City at noon Thursday and is expected back tonight with the sick boy. The Hoenes were vacationing in the area when their son became ill.

Death of Mrs Smith in Portland Hospital
Word came from Portland to Dr H J Smith in Cottonwood that his wife died in a Portland hospital after cancer of the stomach. She was 65, a Cottonwood resident of twenty years, survived by her husband and relatives in New York state. Cremation is planned in Portland per her wish.

McKinneys Route Through Salmon River Road Hazard
Roy McKinney and family arrived in the city on their way home to Spokane from southern Idaho. They praised the Salmon river road scenery but criticized its unfinished sections, noting a backtrack of a half mile to pass an oncoming car and the risk of a plunge into the Salmon River if veering six inches off the road.

Visit With Old Timers on Grangeville Trip
Mr and Mrs A B Rooke returned Monday from Grangeville where they visited County Auditor Henry Telcher Hampton Taylor and John Harriman. They toured the Grangeville Coal mine and enjoyed the view of Camas Prairie. Rooke has lived in Idaho County 50 years but this was his first visit to that section. He recalled trips along the old Mt Idaho road and reconnected with many old acquaintances.
