John Bauer Returns Home From World War I Service
John Bauer of the 305th Infantry and the first Idaho county soldier to receive an honorable discharge arrived home last week. He spoke of training in Philadelphia and France, going over the top in the Argonne forest, and the hardships faced. Bauer praised Red Cross, Salvation Army, and Knights of Columbus for support, and is now employed by the Cottonwood Quilling Co. Art Wiley and T. E. Quinlan were in Cottonwood on business.
