Beginning Monday February 11 merchants will make one delivery daily in the afternoon. The practice, already in effect in most cities nationwide, will continue for the duration of the war.
Draft Dodger Reidhaar Arrested Near Cot tonwood
Anton Reidhaar a German American farmer about ten miles northeast of Cottonwood was arrested by local defense officers for failing to register for the army draft. He appeared before U S Commissioner Garets at Grangeville, bonds set at 10000, and held for federal investigation. He is expected to be transported to Camp Lewis. born July 13 1886 in Mica Wisconsin. His father Jacob Reidhaar testified at the hearing claiming fifteen children.

No County Agent This Year In Idaho County
The Idaho county board of commissioners rejected a U S department of agriculture plan to fund a county agricultural agent with two thirds of the $3000 salary. They refused $2000, preferring to wait for more farmer support. Twenty six Idaho counties already employ or plan to hire agents, with Boundary Shoshone Clearwater and Idaho counties among the exceptions. The board said they are not opposed but require sufficient demand before funding.
