The Cottonwood Water Co resumed work Monday replacing main water pipes along Kingsteel between the Goldstone and Orr corner. A temporary 2 inch line serves the north city while new mains are installed. Rain caused delays and a Tuesday mishap when coupling the 2 inch line released high pressure and unjointed the initial section.

Tragic death at Collins mill claims J C McClintie
J C McClintie a Woodland Idaho county resident died after a circular saw accident at Collins mill near Kamiah Wednesday afternoon. He stumbled and fell against the edger saw, losing a left hand and badly injuring the right, then died about 5 pm after medical aid failed. He leaves a widow and two sons and a Spokane daughter. funeral held at Kamiah Saturday.
