A Ford car accident near Slate Creek left five injured, eight-year-old Deward Tipton unharmed. Mrs. Joseph Haener of Kalama died at 64. funeral in Vancouver, Washington.

Pierce Couple Narrowly Escape Injury in Runaway Buggy
Mr and Mrs M A Pierce faced a near fatal incident returning from Cottonwood when their buggy tongue slipped, the horses panicked and they were thrown out as the buggy overturned. Dr Shinnick promptly treated scratches and bruises, both praising the close call and vowing to avoid a repeat.

Mrs M M Belknap entertained friends Friday and Saturday afternoon and Tuesday afternoon this week. The house was decorated with yellow jonquils and cherry blossoms. Contests were held each afternoon.
