In Belleville Missouri on a Tuesday evening August 20 Rev J P Davis pastor of a Methodist church was shot at near the German Methodist Church. The assailant fled dropping a seven barrel revolver two chambers empty while Davis pursued. Davis saw the would be killer as a small person with feminine voice and light build. a possible female attacker is suspected. Earlier a gunshot on Jackson Street was heard.
