Miss Amy Ethel Frank daughter of Mr and Mrs Wallace D Frank died Saturday at age 21 years 6 months 2 days after months of ill health. She is survived by her mother stepfather two sisters and was buried in New Amsterdam Cemetery after a funeral conducted by Rev N M Rumbley. Relatives from Knox Greene counties visited Elbert Phillippe and family in Heth township during the visit of Mr and Mrs George Phillippe and Mrs Mary Brewer.

Harrison Development Company Finds Four Oil Wells Near Dogwood
The Harrison Development Company reports four oil wells within 1500 feet of Dogwood, with a gS well about a mile north on Thad Tranum’s farm. Wells on Ben F. Smith Curt Dooley and Frank Miller farms yield an estimated fifty plus barrels daily. Two 100 barrel tanks stand in the field as pumping continues. The firm plans to shoot several wells to boost capacity as oilmen see paying quantities. Prospectors visit Corydon and Dogwood, signaling strong local faith in Harrison County’s oil potential.

United Brethren Conference Opens in Corydon
The Indiana Conference of United Brethren met in Corydon for its eighty fourth annual session with about one hundred ministers and delegates. Four new church houses and one new parsonage were added in the district, finances strained by crop shortages, and several ministers to pursue further study at Bonebrake Seminary and Indiana Central University. The new brick United Brethren church hosted services and a union Church Warming with other denominations.

Beautiful Fall Wedding at Bean Home
A large lawn arch and Japaneese lanterns set the scene for the September wedding of Miss Fen Bean to Mr. Charles A. Keller witnessed by about fifty relatives. Miss Mollie Keller played Mendelssohn. Rev. E. S. LaRue officiated. organist Schuman’s Traumers provided music. The couple received gifts including two thousand dollars from the groom’s father and various furniture items. After a luncheon and cake, the couple left for a month-long East tour and will start housekeeping in Corydon on North Market Street.

A lunacy commission was filed last week by Samuel Craycroft against his son Ivan Craycroft jailed for alleged theft at Keller's store. Doctors Neely and Wolfe along with Justice presided and after witnesses testifying they ruled Ivan not insane.

Excursion to Corydon by Southern Railroad Sunday
The Southern Railroad Company plans an excursion from Hoosville French Lick West Baden Cannelton Tell City and way points to Corydon on Sunday September 49 inviting friends to join for a day trip.
