Strike at Doolittle water works ends with wage demand
On the afternoon of the 24th alt the sixteen men from Contractor Doolittle halted work demanding a 25 cent daily raise. Doolittle refused and paid them off hiring replacements while refusing reemployment to the strike leaders. He claims others tried to influence the remaining workers. Corydon witnesses note strikes are understood locally.

Near Fatal Train Wreck At Kentucky State Fair
S. D. Bartley narrowly escaped harm during a fair feature showing two railroad engines crashing together at high speed. Spectators stood about fifty yards away when a timber struck the air and flew over Bartley and companions, nearly burying itself in the ground as the engines collided.
