Harrison county Democrats hail a sweeping election win across the nation. From New York to Indiana, voters sided with Democratic candidates for governor and Congress, signaling discontent with Republican leadership and a shift toward popular government. Two men believed to be McKellus and Marquette were arrested near Richmond on suspicion and are held.

Dr Sam A Smoots was thrown from his buggy after a concrete mixer on North Market Street spooked the horse, causing minor bruising. George C Doolittle, employed by Indiana Rice Co at Dewitt Arkansas, visited his parents last Friday.
