Cobert Jenkins of Jackson township buys Sensation's Noble, a three year old Jersey bull, at Elmendorf sale where 184 registered Jerseys averaged 156.60. The dam Golden Fern's Sensation was imported from the Isle of Jersey and previously sold for 2 250. Cooper & Son of Coopersburg and Henry Berry figure in the dam's history. Jenkins also purchases two daughters of Noble of Oaklands and Register of Merit cows amid a crowded sale of Jersey stock.

D A R Hoosier Elm Chapter met at Mrs Frank R Wrights on Monday afternoon November 1 1915 The meeting opened with the Lords Prayer Roll Call minutes and a short business session Laura Rowe Miller was unanimously elected new member Maggie Logan Morris reported on the Indiana State Conference at Terre Haute and received praise for five lines of ancestral Revolutionary soldiers. The chapter adjourned to meet December first.

Cecil Brown son of Henry Brown from Washington county near Palmyra died Sunday aged seventy seven. Funeral was held Monday at Martinsburg and he is survived by his father and two sisters.

Uncle Henry Friedley 1822 1915 Dies at 92 Near DePauw

Funeral services were held at Mt Zion M E Church Blue River township for Henry Friedley known as Uncle Henry. Born in Kentucky December 27 1822 he lived in Harrison County since boyhood and died after a brief illness. He married Sarah Smith January 1 1852. she died January 1 1902. Surviving are three children five grandchildren five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Small Blaze at Elizabeth Sparks Fire Alarm

A fire alarm sounded Sunday morning when Dr. L. C. Winders dwelling in Elizabeth caught a small blaze from a kitchen flue spark that burned a minor portion of the roof. Mrs. Otto Deatrick returned home from Louisville after attending the Associated Bible Students Convention at the Watterson Hotel. W. H.
