Delegates from New Albany Sellersburg Browns Town Salem and Hardinsburg attended about one hundred members of the order. Dogs kill two sheep near Ramsey in late week incident

Death of Aged Farmer Philip Windell in Indiana
Philip Windell born December 4, 1841 in Warrick County Indiana died after a long illness at his home near Corydon on Thursday night at 10:30. He married Sarah Flanigan December 2, 1875 and had two sons Willard W. Windell and Julius Windell. He united with the Methodist church under Rev. F. G. Jann and remained a faithful member. Funeral services were held Friday at 3 P M at Heidelberg M F church with burial in the church cemetery. He leaves a wife one son three grandsons and many relatives and friends. He was respected for honesty and industry and suffered rheumatism for years.

House Burns On Wise Farm Near Corydon
A large two story residence on FH Wise’s farm, about two and a half miles northwest of Corydon, burned last Sunday midnight after smoke was seen in Wise’s room. The fire, starting from a defective flue, spread rapidly, consuming the house with seven well furnished rooms. Help arrived too late to save contents. loss was heavy though partly insured. Wise, who bought the farm from Sidney Radcliff, had owned it about a year. the late John Elliott built the house.

Man pleads not guilty in support case in circuit court
Harry Markwell, brought back from Pueblo California by Sheriff Edward Meyer, pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to support and deserting his three children. Death Of Mrs Himes At Madison State Hospital
Mrs Cynthia Himes widow of Alonzo Himes died Wednesday October 26 at the State Hospital for Insane in Madison Indiana after years of mental illness. She was 72 and survived by son Dad Himes and six grandchildren. Funeral at Lanesville M E Church with burial in Lanesville cemetery.

Bottlers National Convention Draws 3000 Attendees in St Louis
Otto Smith of Blue Spring T Bottling Works reports three thousand bottlers from across the United States attended the Bottlers National Convention in St Louis. The event ran all week at Hotel Planters with exhibits in the coliseum and included a visit to the Whistle plant. A Whistlers Convention on the Statler Hotel floor drew about 200. a grand banquet for about 300 capped the week at 6 PM.
