The Or Ydon High School Class of 69 held baccalaureate exercises Sunday evening in the auditorium. Rev Ac Irvine and Rev W Z Barette spoke as Rev Lalue delivered the address to a large attentive crowd. Music by Bligh School included three choruses and a trio by Bessie Miller Clara Bennett Hazel Bussabarger with Barbara Cook at the piano. Five graduates are this year. Commencement set for Friday evening.

Fire damages summer kitchen and wash house on East Chestnut
A small fire last Monday destroyed the summer kitchen and wash house of FF A Balleit on East Chestnut street. Mrs Balleit lit a washer fire near the stove and sparks ignited clothes washing machine and other items. The fire department arrived in time to save Mr Bullett's residence.

Death of William C Fetzer near Corydon
William C Fetzer died at his home two miles northwest of Corydon on Monday after brief illness from typhoid fever and pneumonia. Funeral services were held at Oak Grove church with burial in the church cemetery. He had been married twice, survived by four children Nellie Clarence Daniel and Nelena, and was a member of the Modern Woodmen lodge and the Methodist church.

About twenty two youths from Corydon presented a two part minstrel program at the High School Auditorium under G A Parker of the J Bassett Willard Entertainment Bureau Cincinnati.
