Old Log Church Razed in Franklin Township
The St. Peter's Lutheran congregation tore down the old weatherboarded log church on April 27 after ninety years. Erected in 1836, it served fifty years before the brick church built in 1880 replaced it, now forty years in use as one of the county's finest structures. Some veterans mourn the loss as the site holds early religious instruction memories.
