President orders interrupted call about Colonel Ridley
Washington reports President Wilson, anxious over Colonel C. S. Ridley ill at Walter Reed, asked an orderly about his condition. A blunt reply from the nurse prompted a brief exchange before the president resumed contact with Ridley. A separate note says three telephone companies petitioned the Public Service Commission to raise monthly assessments for stockholders from 32 1 30 to 6 82 percent.
