William P. Lewis died last Saturday at his home in South Corydon after a three week illness. He was fifty two, left a wife and four children, and was brother to Cyrus B. and J Lewis. Funeral held at the Christian church with interment in Cedar Hill cemetery. He had served as janitor of the public schools and was popular with students. Sister Mariah Williams of New Albany could not attend due to her-niece Monnie Conrad’s illness.
Mrs Ellen Singleton widow of Geo W Singleton died early Saturday at her Mauckport home after four complications of diseases. At 66 she was a Christian Church member and left eight children. Funeral was held Sunday at the Methodist church with Rev Laslie officiating and burial in Mauckport cemetery.

Henry T. Brown of Scott township died on the 15th from complications of diseases at age fifty nine. He leaves a wife a son and a daughter three brothers George Marion and Huston Brown and two sisters Mrs Jonathan Kintner and Mrs John Rainbolt all in the county. His funeral was held Friday at Potato Run church with Rev. Morgan officiating.
Philip Flock, hauling logs for Peter Swarens of Crandall, visited family Saturday and Sunday. Charles Dick to perform at Mossler schoolhouse on Saturday night April 8, the final night of school. Eph Feller rents the old Hausenfluck house from William Cunningham and has moved there. Misses Jessie and Zella visited Misses Rosa and Nelle Davis of Moberly Sunday.
