Mrs William Staun visits sister-in-law Geese Stamm who is quite sick. Misses Mart James and Mayme Hurst of New Albany visited Mr and Mrs Jeiuumundames Saturday and Sunday. Joe Brocnoan Frank Paker Edward Janes Peary Gettelinger and Massie Margaret James spent one day with PLTUNET in town.
Corydon National Bank and Farmers Savings & Trust publish five reports yearly under an act of the last legislature. The two banks, operating from one room with common officers, emphasize satisfactory public service and unified banking.
A garbled OCR reads like a historical banking notice with a condensed statement of Farmers Savings & Loan Company of Cars Ton Indiana, dated June 4 183. The document includes names Blaine Hays Thos Eek etc and sworn affidavits by notary public Bhaine Hays with remarks on deposits and cashier statements, though text is highly corrupted.
The legislature created a governor appointed commission to manage Indiana's participation in the Gettysburg fifteenth anniversary July 1 to 4. Veterans from Indiana will receive free transport to the battlefield and officials will ensure their comfort. The commission will locate veterans, notify them of rights, and assist those not yet contacted.
A horse driven by Arch Askren bolted on Laecenia road after a dog scare, throwing Arch, Mrs. John Miller and three children from the buggy. Arch suffered knee and wrist injuries, Mrs. Miller head wounds, and the five year old had the worst cuts requiring stitches. The three year old Olga was hurt mildly. the buggy wrecked and no repairs planned. The horse was startled by a dog belonging to Miss Lorence Smith.

Wintner plans to ship a large lot of sheep and lambs from Corydon on Thursday June 26 at 10 a.m. He seeks calves and other sheep, asks to be phoned the day before and to bring in early. Also announces Iaiow Pfrimmer's Chapel eighth annual celebration on Thursday July 10 in the grove with music and speakers, water for drinking and a nearby creek for horse watering, inviting all.
Miss Bessiwendle Eloring, twenty, and Frank Greer, thirty five, both of Battletown, Nsq., eloped to Corydon on Saturday night and married at 11 oclock in the clerk's office. The groom had gone Friday to obtain a license but was refused due to the bride's absence. He returned with her Saturday night at eleven, crossing the river at New Amsterdam where they were met by an auto and brought to Corydon with James Sherrill officiating. They went home that night.
Philip Voelker, prominent Franklin township resident, died Tuesday at his Lanesville home at age 75. He leaves a widow and seven children. Funeral services were held June 11 at the Lutheran church in Franklin township, conducted by Rev. C Schleicher.
John Miller travels with his moving picture show from Corydon to Ramsey for showings on June 23 and 24, then to Milltown for performances on June 25 and 26.
A baptismal service will be held at Oak Grove church on Sunday morning June 16 with Children’s Day exercises that night. The public is invited to attend both services.
