Harrison Township Commencement at Shiloh Church
The twentieth annual Harrison township public schools commencement was held at Shiloh church on Thursday evening June 11. A large audience witnessed the exercises with graduates delivering short orations. Music by the Corydon Orchestra complemented the program as Rev A B Condo Trustee Patter son and County Superintendent Kannapel offered assistance. Diplomas were presented by Supt T A Pattenson and Trustee.

Judgment for Twelve Cents in Pike Company Case
The New Albany and Vincennes Pike Company won against four Washington county farmers in Crawford Circuit Court. Judge C W Cook awarded 12 cents to the Pike Company against each defendant and about 200 dollars in costs. The suit stemmed from tolls unpaid at a new toll gate on the pike after two years in three Justices and three circuit courts.
