Democratic Convention Nominates Kerr and Elector Slate
The Democratic Congressional Convention at Music Hall New Albany nominating M. C. Kerr by acclamation for Congress and endorsing state party planks. Delegates from counties including Martin Floyd and Harrison assembled, electing officers and approving resolutions on bonds taxation and government notes. Judicial conventions followed nominating Alexander Lemon and Hon. Pr H Jewett with Shaw winning District Prosecutor and Brewster withdrawing after ballots.
