T R Farsley recalls carving the date on a terrapin in 1878 and a modern worker found the same creature 42 years later within 200 steps. The terrapin appears unchanged by time and waters. Farsley plans to care for it and possibly exhibit it in town.
Rev. W G Clinton spoke at the Methodist church last Wednesday on The Worlds Greatest Drama naming the Book of Job as the drama. He outlined acts of the script and offered a fresh view of the biblical tale. He previously pastored here sixteen years ago and remains popular across denominations. A real estate sale for Jacobs in Taylor township is set for Tuesday June 22 with homes available in various sizes and prices.
The United States urges the four Mexican revolutionary factions to set aside differences and restore constitutional government. If they fail to unite soon, the U S government says it will decide on means to aid Mexico and its people and may intervene to save the country from ruin.

A celebration will be held at Mr. R. J. Ludlow's grave east of Union Chapel on July 10. Anrial Celebration Union Chapel 8 8 invites everyone to attend.
May 81 Indianapolis report shows Homer L. Cook saving about 9100 yearly by applying prudent office rules. Savings include 4300 from payroll restructuring and 4800 on supplies and contracts. Addressing mobile tag bids cut costs. Critics warned of extravagance, but some papers concede error.
Miss Irma McClure remains ill as residents look after her. The record lists visits and short trips by local families including Mrs Ella Pearson in New Albany and Miss Lora Sandbach with Edmanstoy relatives. Several couples spent Sundays with kin and neighbors, while Jacob Roudenbush and crew work on the Doolittle Hill Pike project repairing the bottoms.

Delbert Bostoys of Hartisoy married Misa Ora Fisher on May 26, 1915, by Rev. E. A. Boston. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fisher of the county.
The Washington Star notes Indiana Democrats will back Wilson and Marshall, led by Thomas Taggart. Loyalty to the ticket has powered repeated Democratic wins in Indiana, with divisions seen as signs of party health and Wilson’s growing popularity drawing progressives toward the ticket through November 1916.
