Death of Prominent Farmer Douglas Crosier
Douglas Crosier died at his Boone township home on Monday afternoon July 4 after an illness of several months. He suffered paralysis for over three months and faced a possible second stroke before passing. Burial was at Crosier Cemetery on July 6. He was 85 years old, married sixty years, and leaves two sons Edward Crosier and Thomas Crosier and daughter Mrs. Charles Liebert. He was a respected longtime Harrison county resident and community leader.

Mr and Mrs FE A Warren of Post Texas and Mr and Mrs J M Taylor of near Milltown visited the office last Saturday. Warren is editor and publisher of the Post City Post a weekly paper in Post Texas with thirty years in the business. Post was founded by C W Post who built the town and sold land on installments. Death of former Corydon woman Hannah Kate Hughes
Hannah Kate Hughes widow of Armstrong Hughes died last Friday at her daughter Emma Clancy in New Albany after years of illness. She fell years ago leading to paralysis and death followed. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Clancy home 610 East Ninth Street New Albany. Burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery Corydon with brief grave service by John H. Heth. She was sixty nine, survived by daughter Emma Clancy of New Albany two sons Clarence Hughes Louisville and Thomas Hughes location unknown. Sisters Georgia Shuck Indianapolis and Emma Fletcher Lincoln Missouri. Her husband Armstrong Hughes a Civil War veteran and Knights of Pythias Odd Fellows member.
