Survey Finds Northern Rail Route More Direct and Cheaper
The corps of engineers has reached New Salisbury to survey the northern railroad line. It is about three miles shorter than the Corydon or Southern routes, passing Georgetown and Hulls mill toward Salisbury and Crawford County. Estimated saving is two hundred thousand dollars versus the southern path.
