Mary A. Evans born August 3 1871 died January 14 1911 aged 236 years 5 months 11 days She lived on a farm near Memorial Church father Samuel Stephens and his brother Uncle John Stephens Her life was marked by vigor joining School No 10 and marrying Jerry Evans October 18 1893 in Louisville They later moved to a farm two miles southwest of the church Surviving children Willie Pansey Pearl Carrie Nellie and Sarah with husband and many relatives She joined Louisville Walnut Street Baptist Church in 1896 famed for Sabbath School devotion.
