Taxpayers are notified that the 1899 tax duplicates are in hand. The notice lists the rate of taxation per one hundred dollars of property and per poll across townships and corporations for Harrison County Indiana for the year 1899. The document provides the schedule of rates in each area.
The Rev Pearch will preach at Rosenbarger's school house on Sunday January 21 at 3 PM. A C Hickman resigns his No 4 school post and J E Messler takes the place. Stults has recovered enough to resume duties at No. 8 after a week in bed. Ed Crosier Jr. visited White Cloud on Sunday as W. P. Conlee moved his family to a new home. Miss Lottie Thomas may inherit following the Crosier engagement.
A Cincinnati area reader reports his son suffered for years with chronic diarrhoea until using two bottles of Cham berlain s Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. After the treatment the boy was cured and the dealer E S Crosier in Glencoe Ohio offered the product.

Trustee Thomas’s premises in Franklin township host a growing hawk problem. A large hawk dived for the barnyard chickens, landed in the barn, and was trapped after Ben closed the door. Prof John Kirkham helped prepare for its capture and both men used an old family rifle to shoot the bird, the first shot missing and the second bringing the nine foot wingspan hawk down. County Clerk Orro Cunningham announces payment of trust funds before term ends, urging claimants to receipts.
