Youthful Bigamist Sentenced to Indeterminate Term

Alonzo Perry aged twenty four was convicted of bigamy in Newcastle and sent to the Indiana Reformatory in Jeffersonville for a term of from one to five years. His two wives were present at trial and he planned to seek a new trial. He is a Knightstown resident.

Death of John Shaffer at New Middletown

John Shaffer died of heart trouble at his daughter Mrs. Roscoe Miller’s home last Friday. Born in Louisville, he came to the county as a boy and was 61. Survived by four children including Charles Shaffer and Roscoe Miller of this place, Ivan Shaffer of Louisville, and Etta Shakespeare of Virginia. Death of Zelma Miller at 13 in Washington Township

Zelma Miller daughter of Eli and spouse died Tuesday evening January 30 aged 13 years 27 days. She possessed a cheerful disposition and will be missed by relatives and friends.
