The body of J. T. Harris of West Point Kentucky, formerly of Mauckport, was found in Salt River on Christmas Day. Coroner Nye conducted a run inquest Friday and Harris was buried Saturday in the Vauckport burying-ground. He was about 50, married.
Andrew Jackson Walk a respected Jackson township resident died December 24 from paralysis at about 78. He suffered a grip years ago and later mental decline left him unable to recognize family, requiring constant care by son Joseph L Walk. Survived by wife predeceased, two children, and a brother George W Walk. Funeral at Old Bethlehem church was well attended. Walk served as a Mexican soldier in his day. Judge Cook and ex-Representative J L O Bannon have the mumps.

Coroner in Clark county reports two men, Henry Wetzel and Peter Dalton of Fairfield, found dead beside the Pennsylvania Road tracks. They died near New Albany direction, struck by a train, with head wounds and a stopped watch between twelve and one. The exact cause remains unclear amid theories of accidental, staged, or murder.
Miss Mary Wurm daughter of the late George and Mary Wurm of Harrison county died suddenly December 26 at 8 p m from angina while visiting her sister Mrs Margaret Sehlinger of Louisville Kentucky She was born in Germany January 11 1848 came to the United States at age five and joined the Lutheran church at thirteen She leaves four sisters Nettie Lula Christina Wurm and Mrs Margaret Sehlinger and one brother Peter Wurm The burial was at Zoar Cemetery with relatives present

Miss Flora E. Wright daughter of Geo Wright of Jackson township united with Mr. G Watson son of Edward Watson by Rev Philips on Christmas Eve. The couple, widely popular, receive many congratulations as they plan to reside in Nebraska. The Democrat notes much joy.
Dr. Little, a Corydon dentist, remains in his office the last four days each week. Prices are reasonable with cash terms.
The third annual Old Capital Poultry Association exhibition opened at the courthouse with about 600 birds to be scored by Judge Cambell of Darlington Indiana. Miss Emma Bowling daughter of Mrs D J Bowling and Mr Hugh Rhodes a Harrison township teacher and county surveyor elect wed at 7 30 pm in a home ceremony officiated by Rev Winkler. Guests joined a later supper before the couple departed Christmas Day for their new home amid best wishes.

Mr Alonzo Stonecipher son of George Stonecipher Nebraska and Miss Lillie Smith daughter of Chas W Smith Webster township were united in marriage Christmas evening at Pleasant Ridge church by Rev Moore. They will stay about six weeks in this county then move to Nebraska for their future home. The Democrat wishes them a long and happy future.
A Cold Wave forecast warns of worse weather and a hoarse voice and heavy cough at home. Madison Georgia resident E H Wise endorses One Minute Cough Cure for health, claiming it cures coughs colds la grippe bronchitis pneumonia and throat and lung troubles. It claims to cut phlegm draw out inflammation heal and soothe mucous membranes and strengthen the lungs.
The Band Concert at the Auditorium on Christmas night drew a smaller crowd than hoped but offered a notable musical display. Prof. Fouse’s clarinet solo Old Kentucky Home and the Black and Brewster duet drew hearty applause. Leader Jas Brewster earns praise for steady progress and the Corydon ensemble is described as a top state band.
The Brewster brothers Roger and Roscoe return home to perform with their band. Roscoe’s trombone wins hearty applause as listeners stay warm by radiators during a chilly concert. Critics suggest shorter future programs.
Margaret P. Flora, wife of J. H. Flora of Mauckport, died on the 27th inst. aged 64 years 7 months. Born May 27, 1838 in Harrison county, she later moved to St. Peter Minnesota where she married. She leaves six of nine children living Horace W Ed A Curry L Mrs F M Hays Mrs D C Jones Wiss Cora Flora. A devoted wife mother neighbor and Christian.
Gregg Lodge No 235 I O O F elected Friday night December 26 1902 with Chas F Ashley as Noble Grand and W S Shuck as Vice Grand. A L Reynolds selected Financial Secretary for the 18th year, a record. John K Morris serves as Treasurer and A G Ward as Trustee. The new officers will be installed Friday night and oysters will be served afterward.

Bert Werne returns from Secor Illinois. Gertrude Brown returns from Louisville. An oyster supper at Wm Elbert’s home on Christmas night was a success with Kingsley Dodd band providing music.

Maud Wright spent Christmas with sister Mrs Christ Winninger of Georgetown. Matt Schmid of Ahrens Ott Louisville spent Christmas with family. Joseph Vaughn of J P Morton Louisville spent Sunday with his girl. Carry Windish named most handsome. Cleveland Conrad labeled laziest at the Hursttown school pie supper. Arvil and Lee Snyder hosted friends for Christmas dinner.
