Death of John Emery in New Albany obituary notice
John Emery died at St. Ed ward's hospital in New Albany last Thursday morning after ten days illness. He was 67 and buried in Cedar Hill cemetery after funeral at the Christian church in Corydon led by Rev. M. A. Cossaboom and John H. Heth with music by a quartet. He left a son Lee Emery and eight brothers and five sisters. He had lived in Corydon, married Lucinda Applegate, and spent time in Tennessee in the timber business before returning to Indiana.

Patrolman Lee Cottner held to grand jury on 3200 bond for diary of setting up and running a game of chance. Seven men arrested with Cottner fined 15 each.
