Residents list visits and travels including Miss Lois Keller in Jeffersonville and Mrs W H Keller in Jeffersonville while Charles H Kintner a Democratic clerk candidate appeared in town. Various people donate goods, prepare for fairs, and promote local businesses such as DeWitts remedies, Mowrer Studio photos, and Keller ice cream cones as sidewalks improve town appearance.
A pasted roster of allowances made by the Board of Commissioners at their August Term 1908, naming recipients such as Wao S Russell bridge rep, A E Bell greenst, Spenc Lee Kintner gr rep, and many others with amounts. includes school funds, ex poor, jail and court house items, and several named individuals and businesses. A separate note reports a Diarrhoea Cure advertisement citing J H Zirkle of Philippi W Va praising Cham berlain’s Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy as curing his father.
An office will be set up at the Fair Grounds during the Pair to receive payments on subscriptions and accounts due. A register will invite home comers to register with current addresses. Miss Myrtle Stevens visits her sister Miss Ora in Louisville.
Petition to the Harrison County Boards of Commissioners seeks the location of a new public highway in Franklin township Indiana. The route runs from Georgetown Crandall road near section lines through lands of Cordelia Allstott Josephine Allstott Mary Schmeltz and others to join the Georgetown Lanesville road near the Southern Railroad track. The petition is by Henry Schellenberger and others dated August 12 1908 and signed by Frank E. Watson A H C.
Edward E. Henry of United States Express Co Chicago says Chamberlains Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy cured chronic diarrhoea on his train and helped many others. He notes his prior service with Rutherford B. Hayes and McKinley. Sold by L A Riley Son August. Also an ad for photos by Friedley near the post office.
Photograph premiums offered to baby contestants at the fair with prizes including 8x10 and 5x7 prints. Winners must claim cabinet photos at the business location three squares east of the post office by September 10 under H. J. Friedley.
A formal demand requests all creditors to settle debts in full by September 1 1907. Recipients are urged to take action promptly to satisfy outstanding balances.
