New Road Building Group Formed in Indiana Counties
Savage of Rockport was elected president of a newly formed group at a Chamber of Commerce meeting to back a state highway from Evansville to New Albany. J J Cutler of Evansville named secretary and Walter Ruthsteiner of Peru county treasurer. Delegates from Vanderburg Warrick Spence Crawford Harrison Perry and Floyd counties attended. The project would be built under the 1917 law with state paying half and each county paying half of the section within its borders. County vice chairmen were elected: Richardt Vanderburg Wilson Warrick Cadick Perry Platsteiner Grimes Harrigan and Stotsenberg Floyd.

The New Salisbury M E Sunday School held a July 26 celebration at Hahn's grove north of town. A rain storm halted afternoon plans after a strong morning program led by Rev. Oster. Speakers from Palmyra Corydon and New Albany were prepared but not delivered, with talk of rescheduling to a fair day.

Corydon to See New Brick Building Erected
A new brick business building is planned at Chestnut and Market in Corydon, to be built by The Corydon National Bank. The one story structure will be ninety two feet long with two storefronts facing Market, housing Rogenbarzer's Restaurants and ice cream parlor in the corner. The Rosenbarger owners will operate across the street during construction. The project promises town improvement and new two room frontages.
