Judge Ely Died After Short Illness in Petersburg
Judge Eugene A. Fly died at his Petersburg home in Pike county on Saturday April 1 after a two day illness of paralysis. He served fourteen years as circuit court judge for Pike and Dubois counties and was defeated for renomination in 1908 by Hon. John L. Brety. Ely was known as the special judge who presided over liquor cases in the Harrison circuit court and was respected as a able lawyer and public servant.

Centenarian Dies at Home in Spencer Township
Isaac Tiarmon aged 100 years 3 months 11 days died at his Spencer township home last Saturday. The funeral was at Thompson's Chapel with sermon by Rev. W M Whitsett. Tiarmon, born in the county, lived here all his life and was highly respected. He married twice and had one son Wm F Harmon who lived with him recently. Wm F has a son George aged about forty in Spencer township. George’s family has four generations on the farm. Tiarmon voted in 1828 for Andrew Jackson and supported longevity trends in Harrison county.
