Godeys Lady's Book Ad Promises Rich Content and Full Patten
An extensive advertisement for Godeys Lady's Book touts a one year subscription at $2.50 with monthly frontispieces and color illustrations of fashion and craft topics. It lists broad departments from crochet to recipes, music, architecture, agriculture, fiction, poetry, and current events, plus a full size out paper pattern and liberal club terms. The page also contains a long, informal poker anecdote interwoven with the ad copy.
