Jail Drug Snatcher Transferred To Warren
ERIE The 2¢-year-old Erie County jail inmate who passed ground drugs at the jail Sunday night after breaking into a locked medicine cabinet was transferred by ambulance to Warren State Hospital yesterday. The Erie County Prison Board in a special session ordered drugs kept locked in the warden's office outside the prisoners' range to prevent recurrence. Seven inmates required hospital treatment for phenobarbital overdoses, and Raymond Vivier, accused of stealing the drug, was moved from Hamot Hospital to the state psychiatric institution.

AWOL Marine and two others injured in Oil City crash
Three youths and a Marine deserter were injured when a car struck a utility pole in Oil City. Driver Richard B. Lawrence, 18, was admitted in satisfactory condition. Kenneth A. Lawrence, 17, and William Marsh, 18, were treated and released. Marsh, AWOL since June 30, was released to military officials.

Frogs Show Up In The Darndest Places
Frogs are turning up in unexpected spots in Frogm ore as the town recovers a noted ornamental frog. The 18 inch concrete symbol, once at the post office lawn, was found on the driveway of Lt. Col. C. P. Weiland in Beaufort by his daughter two weeks ago. Weiland learned of the find after reading a newspaper story.
