Weather officials noted clouds and a distant thunderstorm, with the craft on an instrument flight at 15 000 feet. no immediate cause was given.
James H. Holland 76 died at 1 55 p m yesterday after a heated argument over the family house in Brokenstraw Township. Tyran Lyon 51 was jailed by state police after allegedly threatening and fighting with Hollands during the dispute. Coroner planned a natural causes verdict but listed the death as due to a heart attack. Funeral arrangements to be announced by Young Funeral Home.

MIAMI Fla AP A second hurricane Hannah with 10 gusts of wind slowed its advance toward the mainland after Gracie. Weather officials say Hannah is moving west at about 12 mph and could threaten Palm Beach area as the Atlantic season’s eighth tropical storm sits about 91 miles east of the coast. Forecasters caution it is too early to confirm its path though the odds of landfall remain a concern.
A two story Homestead apartment exploded when a rear wall blew out injuring 41 year old Grank Fike a steelworker critically burned. His wife Alma 35 was detained for shock at Homestead Hospital. Witness Paul Gregor saw the house back blow out and Fike come out. Three others in the building and five next door escaped unhurt. Fike said he struck a match to light a cigarette triggering the blast.
In South Jersey an 80 year old Tuckerton woman died of suspected encephalitis, raising the unofficial death toll to 14. A 30 year old man was admitted to Vineland’s Newcomb Hospital with the same disease, potentially lifting New Jersey’s unofficial count to 24 if confirmed. The state health department lists five cases, four presumptively fatal, as eastern equine encephalitis.
Theo McMaster of Altoona, 36, awaiting trial for a fatal crash that killed Wilmer Finish, his wife, and four children aged six in the rear of their auto. McMaster drove a pickup into the car pushing it into a oncoming truck, authorities report.
