Unemployment Fraud Cases Lifted as August Actions Rise
The State Bureau of Employment reported 431 unemployment compensation fraud convictions through eight months of the year. Director A J Grisso estimated about 28,300 involved in illegal benefits. Seventy two people convicted in June to August face a one year ban from benefits plus fines up to 300 dollars and up to three years in prison.
