Small Industries Get Tax Write-Offs in Pennsylvania Expansion

Small firms in Pennsylvania received most of the tax write-off privileges as the Defense Production Administration notes. During September 11 to 17, five certificates of necessity for tax amortization were under 50 thousand dollars. Nationally, 69 of 120 certificates were for facilities with grants of 100 thousand dollars or less. Applications for tax grants for 31 facilities costing about 20 million dollars were denied, though denial does not halt projects. The amortization aims to expand private industry’s capacity for mobilization, with actual amortization varying by facility type and need.
