Kitts May Press for Reopening Ouster Case
Erie pa September 27. Judge Miles B Kitts may petition Pennsylvania Supreme Court to reopen charges brought by 43 Erie lawyers and three other judges seeking to bar him from Erie County courts on grounds of mental incapacity. The court suggested it would hear jurisdiction questions if he resumes duties. If the high court declines jurisdiction, his path to a second term on the Erie bench would be opened.

OWI forecasts long war with Japan and strategic limits
The OWI predicts a prolonged war with Japan, noting Japan’s limited wartime production and geographic constraints. It argues Allied effort must advance to within striking distance of Tokyo, cites B 20 raids as a tentative step, and highlights shipping and base access challenges. U.S. production far exceeds Japan, with 8,000 combat aircraft monthly versus Japan’s 1,400 to 1,500.
