Nancy Brigham of the Gertrude Barber Center Corry Campus said sponsor donations will support the center’s work locally. In Philadelphia, Rev Jesse Jackson and black leaders charged Governor Shapp fired C DeLores Tucker, Pennsylvania secretary of the commonwealth, for being black rather than for alleged improper use of state workers. An 18 year old Erie man Wade A Schulze was hunting squirrels on private property near Elgin when he tripped while retrieving a shot squirrel and his 22 caliber pistol discharged. The bullet lodged in the upper leg and he is listed in satisfactory condition at Corry Memorial Hospital. The accident occurred at 11 30 am nearby Route 6.
