Actual Voting Strength Of Young Americans Vastly Overrated
The 11.7 million of 24 or younger are only 10 percent of the 116.6 million eligible voters for the next presidential election. Voters aged 21 to 29 show lower turnout, but political groups still mobilize youth with recruitment efforts, registration drives, and campus campaigns as parties seek lifetime allegiance despite mobility and residency barriers.
