The Erie Conference of the Evangelical United Brethren Church sponsors Fall Institutes organized by WSWS and conference boards across six districts. The first session starts Monday at 2 pm in the Corny BUB Church with speaker Stanton James, a layman known for Philippine construction work. The institute team includes Dr. S. Paul Weaver and Dr. H. Ray Haris, among others. the afternoon session opens at 2 o'clock with a fellowship supper in the church parlors.
At 6 p.m a work-group conference led by Dr H Ray Harris Rev Ivan G Hunsberger Rev and Mrs Harold V Lindqulat and Mrs John C D Westley precedes an evening session at 7 45 featuring missionary address by Stanton James and the film For Every Child during Christian Education Week. Attendance competition runs among Wayne Valley Church and Erie Glenwood Church with a likely capacity crowd. The Fall Institute raises funds for WSWS Mrs J Hal Smith Mission Fund aimed at building a native worker's home in Puerto Rico and finishing two 5 000 San Fernando Church projects in the Philippine Islands. Dinner is organized by Mrs Lynn Campbell. The Sierra de Oro lode in New Mexico is noted as the first gold discovery west of the Mississippi.
