Twenty Five Miners Rescued After Clay Mine Collapse

Kittanning Brick and Tile Company workers were entombed for over an hour as a heavy clay fall blocked the mine entrance. Superintendent Earl Martin led a rescue party that freed all twenty five men. three were seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Plans for Peace Service Proceeds Announced

The Cause and Quest for War is to be delivered by Pastor O A Willace of Wiret Bayotive church at the public service held in the Tied Hohogh AMA Kern. A choir of about thirty votes will participate and an orchestra is being sought. In the morning local churches will hold their services and the evening union meeting will occur. The movement is active in nearby towns.

Visitors Triumph 13-0 Over City League Team

Yesterday afternoon at Washington street grounds the Carter Crume baseball team of Niagara Falls routed the City League pick by 13 to 0. Maloney started for the locals, then Long, while Reilly held the Crames to six hits over as many innings. Delury starred in fielding for the Crames, with Hill and Forth Crames making notable plays. Natross McNell and O'Brien led the Falls with three hits each, Pierca added a double and a single for four, while Keating also contributed. The locals displayed hard work and speed, and a repeat game was scheduled for today as the season closed. Weather warm. forecast for Sunday.

Italian Arrests and a Warrant in Spartansburg Case

Constable G K Carl led a search in Spartansburg for Dominick Djanty at the Workers Camp with Gap Powers. A foreigner was found and brought to the village. Carl issued a warrant for reversion. Alderman Porter and Drafty Win arranged a settlement with the wife Katore paying money to end the matter. The couple then spent time together in the city and declared a temporary armistice.

Buffalo Fire Destroys Salvation Army School

United Press reports a severe fire in Buffalo at the Salvation Army Industrial School on Seneca Street. The third floor collapsed, killing janitor N J Sawyer and injuring three firefighters among about sixty workers evacuated from the Home. Chief McConnell and eight others escaped with lesser injuries.

Officials of Association Get Affidavits

Officials of the Corry Walr wn Driving Parke Association presented affidavits this morning. Secretary Mor xaridge denied involvement, stating he had no knowledge of any names or liquor at the grounds. A letter from a prominent businessman to Governor Teller in Harrisburg echoed similar charges.

New Brie time card affects Corry schedule changes

The timetable shift takes effect Monday with train 10 leaving at 8:35 a.m. instead of 10:10. The Buffalo line now makes local stops between Corry and Jamestown, linking with eastbound locals. Eastbound departures: 4:18 a.m., 8:35 a.m., 4:08 p.m., 7:06 p.m. Westbound: 4:00 a.m., 9:09 a.m., 1:47 p.m., 4:87 p.m.
