Bad Roads Tour Urged Over Good Roads By Our Opinion
Our editorial urges State Highway officials to swap the annual Good Roads Tour for a Bad Roads Tour. We propose Crawford County leaders escort Robert Bartlett on a route from North Center Street to Route 426 via Clymer, Corry, and Columbus to expose neglect on Pennsylvania roads versus New York. The piece mocks official enthusiasm for glossed infrastructure and calls for hands on evaluation.

Hardback Prisoner by Jim Bishop
Tow late, I realize that I have become the prisoner of my friends. Hundreds and hundreds of them sit on the shelves of this room with their backs to me. The shelves sag with the weight of man's accomplishments and sins. Visitors used to come in here. It pleased the prisoner to hear them ex claim about the shelf on Science. The prisoner surveys them in the long night hours and wonders at wisdom and weakness of man. The prisoner has written seventeen books, but there is no room for them.
