Ex Navy patrol yacht becomes passenger boat in Erie
Navy Patrol Boat No 1 1 60 once a Du Pont family yacht and patrol vessel has been discharged and sold to Warren and Arthur Miller of Erie. It will be used to carry passengers on Lake Erie excursions in contrast to its wartime U boat hunting along the Atlantic. The ex yacht was bought at auction by Erie men who gathered a crew to bring it home from Essington Yacht Club. Their voyage followed the Delaware River to Delaware Bay up the Atlantic coast to New York City then the Hudson to Albany and the old Erie Canal to Towanda and finally into Lake Erie.
