Headless body found near railroad tracks in Pittsburgh

Survivors Landed From Burned British Freighter Arawak

Fourteen survivors including a year old child read in a lifeboat after the British freighter Arawak burned off the Florida coast. Coast guards brought them ashore at New Smyrna Beach as flames spread rapidly from a galley fire. Captain Roland Roberts of Nassau reported the blaze and high winds aided its quick spread. eight crewmen and five passengers abandoned ship about 3:20 p.m., roughly an hour after the fire began 15 miles offshore.
