Aviator Frank Miller Killed in Ohio Fair Flight
Frank Miller, a Cleveland aviator, burned as flames engulfed his Curtiss biplane during a display at the Miami County Fair in Troy Ohio. His plane exploded after a fuel fire during a swoop, sending him and the craft to the ground in a fatal crash witnessed by thousands. Miller, hired by Charles J. Strobel of Toledo for the event, had completed several aerobatic passes before the accident ended the day’s attraction.
