Sept 21 in Ridgway Pa a car driven by Carl B Johnson overturned on an embankment. His wife Fille Johnson 66 Clinton St Ridgway died at 4 AM in Ridgway Hospital from skull fracture. Mrs Mice Hat also of Clinton St remains hospitalized with possible internal injuries. Their three year old son David was uninjured.

Alfred M. L. Ashworth Harry O. Ashworth Mede Wright and Marry Wright of Salamanca arraigned in Supreme Court before Justice Gen A Larkin on indictments for conspiracy grand larceny and grand fraud. Indictments stem from alleged dealings between the Midland Wool Combing Co and AO Worsted Co with use of machinery and labor without consent to produce wool spinning contracts and misdelivery of wool tops. Mrs Agnes Ashworth Gedell also named and to be arraigned Wednesday.
Rubin a traveling salesman from St Marys escaped serious harm when his Buck roadster struck a B&O freight train crossing near Kane. Fog limited visibility as the auto entangled with the train and dragged a distance before separating. He suffered only a minor injury to his arm and shoulder.

Meafield Sept 21 A two story frame Venango hotel and adjoining structures were destroyed Monday forenoon in a blaze. Kepler the proprietor and owner suffered about 15000 in losses with 8500 policy. The fire was spotted near eight with basement smoke and flames. Origin undetermined but investigator noted a possible backfire from a basement gasoline engine used for water and safe system.
